Hi, I’m Lovebug, a sweet and affectionate gal who’s looking for a family that understands the joys of living with a large breed like me! I’m a young dog so I have a lot of energy and excitement to share, which means I need plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep me happy and healthy. You’ll need to be patient and provide me with decompression time to help me manage my enthusiasm, especially if I get too excited. While I love people, I’m better suited to a household without young children under 12. Sometimes I get a little too excited during interactions, and when I do, I need a family who will understand when to give me space to calm down. It’s also important that any kids I meet are comfortable with me and know how to give me room when I need it. When it comes to other dogs, I can become frustrated if I’m not properly matched, so I’ll need to meet any dogs in the home first. It’s important to make sure the match is a good one for everyone’s sake! As a larger breed, I’ll need lots of daily enrichment—think long, sniffy walks and a treasure hunt in the backyard to find hidden treats. Mental challenges are important to keep me busy so puzzle toys and training sessions are a must. I’m incredibly sweet and love spending time with my humans. I’ll be your loyal companion once I know I can trust you, and I’ll reward your patience with all the love and affection I have to offer.
